ABOUT TINA MCDOWELL and COLOR OF LIGHT REIKI

My journey to Reiki began long before I was actually aware of it. As my path wove through life, I found myself attracted to “the unknown”. I questioned why are we here; what is our purpose, and the like. I am an old soul, and I have always been drawn to helping others. I am also an artist and believe that painting is a form of meditation for me - the place of “no-mind” as Ekhart Tolle has called it - and that place was one of the stepping stones to my Reiki practice. I have come to realize that while art is my passion - Reiki, Healing, Guiding and Teaching are my soul’s purpose. I am very grateful to have grown into my role as a light worker here on this Earth.

IT IS AN HONOR TO SERVE.

HOW DID COLOR OF LIGHT GET ITS NAME?

THE ARTIST AND THE HEALER MERGE.

Everything is energy, including color. “Light is made up of wavelengths of light, and each wavelength is a particular color which moves around in waves of electromagnetic energy.” Like the spectrum, each of the seven main Chakras is represented by a color. The colors we see are our eyes mixing wavelengths of light. However, we will only see white when ALL the wavelengths of light are reflected off an object. White is also the color representing the crown chakra, which is our connection to the divine, and the energy of love and light.
